Chippendales Empire, her name was never on the corporate filing. And no judge or opposing attorney ever thought of that angle, or anyone investigated to ascertain the claim. At least to look at the corporation filing to see if Irene had a right to sell Chippendales and its trademark.
Silenced by intimidation, threats, and a corrupt justice system, Jesse, Steve’s oldest son, was only a teenager at the period when this was happening. He recalled how he watched his father creatively grow the Chippendales, piece by piece. Now he has helplessly watched strangers profit from the idea his dad created for over 30 years now, with no one to turn to. He also recalled how his stepmother, Irene, lied to him about the role he would play in the company after Steve’s death. When her promise didn't come to fruition, Jesse began to ask questions about his father's fortune as was his right as an heir and was thereafter threatened by Irene's brother-in-law, an FBI agent. Jesse was told, in no uncertain terms that he wouldn't be receiving anything. He has lived in agony but has gotten the courage to tell the stories that were never told and to make stakeholders begin to ask questions about what he describes as organized murder and forced takeover of a man's wealth.
The facts exposed in Chippendales True Crime reveal fraud, deception, extortion, and even murder, possibly being perpetrated by a government agent, especially about the strange death of Chippendales founder Steve Banerjee. Steve who is an immigrant from Mumbai, arrived on the shores of California to get slave wages for doing menial jobs, from where he became a whirlwind success. Without even knowing it, he helped women that were liberating themselves to feel more liberated as they were able to fondle G-stringed genitalia without any fear of persecution. Then this gentle soul was accused of murder, and found dead, hung in a prison cell. It was widely reported that Steve committed suicide to avoid a long prison sentence for the murder of his alleged partner with no proof, Nick DeNoia.
As many continue to question whether Jeffrey Epstein committed suicide or was he silenced for knowing about too many powerful men’s secret affairs with under-aged girls. The same types of questions are now arising in Banerjee’s suicide. You will find out how he may have been framed up, for having too much information on married men’s fetishes with his male dancers. Recall that at Chippendales, men taking their clothes off for an unrestrained crowd of women is what Steve introduced with his choreographed male strippers, gyrating into the imagination of women: it became a household name for women of the 80s, that were freeing their minds, bodies, and souls from tyrannical husbands in a world that thought of them as second-class citizens, Chippendales became a way to let their hair down. It was truly a “Girl’s Night Out”. Just like the historical scenes of a man's clothing flying towards a desirous woman: the rise would be magnificent, the ride famous, but the fall is very tragic.
Pop Culture Steve Banerjee is a pioneer of a type of entertainment industry that made him famous at his time. He had encouraged and promoted cool music that most women loved. He produced the best live shows to Rock USA and the world at large and effortlessly cruised Hollywood. Many negative stories have been told about Chippendales, all of them are mostly the narratives of the perpetrators that stole the empire, and cleverly, they have managed to make their story very believable and credible.

The authors presented real court transcripts, confessions, and undisclosed FBI files that will clarify and help you understand how for decades, the perpetrators have gotten away with deceit and treachery as their scheme remained uncovered by any lawyer or judge for years.
You'll learn how difficult it is for
a poor person without adequate representation by lawyers to get through
the legal wrangling of court procedures
You’ll also learn how the rich can
boldly subvert the law and get away with it, and these types of wealthy
people don't pay any consequences for their actions.
It will take top-notch private
investigators to get information about the rich and powerful but Jesse
was able to accomplish it mostly by himself. He got the hidden evidence
covered for almost thirty years, as was presented in the exhibit section
of the book.
This book sheds light on the cruelty perpetrated by humankind against each other. It also demonstrates ways in which the powerful could oppress the powerless and the cruelty of the rich towards the poor. Although life itself is not fair, the incident involving Jesse, his stepmother, and her lawyer is an eyesore.
Damn what a story! I started reading this story and couldn’t put down the book. There is something truthful, almost alarming along the lines of Jesse’s struggle. And to think that the author derived this from a real experience outright sends chills down my spine! Overall, a very riveting story. Great to be read alongside a warm fire while drinking tea!
A Brutal Experience! Yup! The title pretty much defines it. The author has used a dark and yet incredibly gripping tone. What an amazing and impressive story. Not to mention, the story has a lot of details and a lot of concealed expressions. The characters are strong, and there is a reason. They seem to have been based on the real life experiences! The author mentions it several times.
Couldn’t put the book down! At first, I just picked up this book out of curiosity. It was supposed to be my side read while picking up a Tolkien’s book. I never thought that the brutal read of this story would prevail over some of the saccharine phrases of the other books. Anyways, I am always up for a good read and this book seemed to have made my evening.
